Curriculum
Early Learning & School Readiness
Our curriculum aligns with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) to provide high-quality education right here in Kirrawee.
Our qualified educators work closely with families to support and guide children to achieve developmental goals and develop a range of skills and abilities through planned play-based learning experiences and projects. We share documented learning via the Owna app.
Our School Readiness program operates from February through December and is designed in conjunction with local primary schools to best support and prepare children for big school and life.
What We Teach
STEM & Inquiry
We encourage curiosity through Science, Technology, Engineering, and Maths (STEM) exploration. Children learn to hypothesize and problem-solve through hands-on play.
Language & Communication
Our daily routines are rich in language, storytelling, and social interaction. We help children express themselves confidently—an essential skill for future school success.
Creative Arts
Through music, movement, and visual arts, children develop fine motor skills and creative expression.
Sustainability
We teach “Care for Country” and sustainability through everyday routines, helping children respect the environment in our outdoor learning spaces.
School Readiness Program
Transitioning to school is a major milestone. Our Readiness program is designed to support entry into local Kirrawee primary schools by focusing on:
Independence
Self-help skills like toileting, dressing, and managing belongings.
Social Skills
Conflict resolution, empathy, and playing well with others.
Foundations
Early literacy and numeracy concepts integrated naturally into play.
Intentional Teaching
We don’t just watch children play; we actively teach. Our educators use “intentional teaching” strategies to challenge thinking and extend learning, ensuring every activity has a developmental purpose.
